holster advice

i have a springfield armory xd .45 {5" tactical} and need a good holster.

any suggestions ? i'm new at this.

go on ebay, search for FOBUS paddle holster. thats where i got mine and it was only about 20 with free shipping.

If you are going to be carrying concealed, I would pony up the money for a Comp-Tac M-TAC holster:

This is the holster I use, and it is extremely comfortable. I have no problem carrying all day (G-19, 1911). Its also modular, so if you change carry guns you can simply order a new kydex body and screw it on. It is a little pricey, but you will spend less money in the long run than if you were to buy cheap, chinzy holsters that do not work as well.

Yes one size larger for comfort.

Crossbreed Supertuck all the way. I just finished ordering my second one this morning for my 1911. It's the most comfy holster I've ever worn.

I use the MTAC for my Beretta M9, Glock 22, and Springfield XD45 Service model. Very good product!

I ditto this heavily. DO NOT go cheap on a holster that will carry a gun that large. I have a Fobus paddle for my Kimber Ultra carry and it is a cheap as they come. I wear it occasionally around the house but never out in public. The MTAC is a fantastic holster and will serve you well.

Its not very good for conceal but its great for IDPA and some winter time carry.

Take a look at AJK concealco. They are great holsters.
