Took us completely by surprise...

Carpet got some seepage in most of the house...

Car got some water in the floorboards...Truck ok...

I think we can get the ServePro folks to come by and vacumn most of it up before we may need to think about ripping the carpet up...

I'm kinda getting tired of certain people driving thru the flooded streets washing water up in th ecars and houses around here, thats the worse part of today...

Russell: Have your landlord fix it. That's why you pay rent.

Stevie: My commiseration. To have flood damage now, just a few months after Ike, is staggering.

I hate to think we're only two months away from the start of the 2009 hurricane season. Pray this is a mild one.

We will endeavor to persevere...

Carpet is yanked up...House is drying out...

And to add insult to injury, I twisted my ankle (really bad)...

When it rains, it pours...

I'm cryin' uncle here... ;-)

Here is the 3rd installment...

Water came up again last night...ALMOST made it in the house...My nieghbors did not fair too well again either...

Wife Unit was stranded and tried to make it over to my mothers condo down there in Clear Lake...She got there around 2am...And this morning she has her "last" test to certify as a teacher in this state...Talk about hoops you have to jump thru...

I think I made someone mad...Someone is trying to send me a message...

Just think...All of this, and hurricane season hasn't even started yet...

Good thing I have a decent sense of humor...

Well, don't let me be the bearer of bad news.....
:biggrinjester:

srsly, hope you don't end up with foundation issues, sounds like SandBagging is a pretty decent idea, least from what I can tell, all the way on the other end of the State...
FWIW, IIRC, AFAIK, FTMP, IANAL. YMMV.
