Guess he didn't get the memo about the Dallas cop last month, huh?

That guy needs to go to an anger management counselor, that was ridiculous. I wonder why he singled the news reporters out of all the people parked along the shoulder? It's guys like him that gives the honest hard working LEO's a bad name.

I heard that Ramirez has 12 other incidents similar to this being reviewed...

Maybe he just doesn't like the way he looks on camera. He sure didn't look very good in in that video.

If the officer behaves like this ON camera, how does he respond when off...?

Re: Officer arrests El Paso reporter attempting to cover a story
Pretty bad.
There's typically no love lost between media and LEOs...
I never cared much for them shoving a camera in my face and ignoring my orders. They can be real vultures and a huge pain when you're in the middle of trying to save lives and it's sooo easy to get really bent out of shape over them. Some of them love to punch LEO buttons in hopes they'll make news instead of just reporting the news, if you know what I mean.
I've seen them drive their vans over fire hoses...and if you're a fireman at the end of a fully pressurized hose when a vehicle runs over it you'd better be holding on because it causes that hose nozzle to kick like a day mule.
I often wished I had a lawful reason to haul some of them to jail, but I never did, so I never did. This guy should have kept his cool and not let his emotions get him into trouble.

+1. I'll admit about wondering about the integrity of those "few" officers sometimes, and this guy is an example of the reason why.bryang wrote: It's guys like him that gives the honest hard working LEO's a bad name.

Sec. 545.408. CROSSING FIRE HOSE. An operator may not, without the consent of the fire department official in command, drive over an unprotected hose of a fire department if the hose is on a street or private driveway and is intended for use at a fire or alarm of fire.
Might need a cash bond from that guy

It makes me ill to think that these few bad apples tarnish the reputation of our good police officers.
It's also very saddening.

Much more fun to have an extra 5" line capped and pressured to its max rating as a guard for the other hoses.KRM45 wrote:Sec. 545.408. CROSSING FIRE HOSE. If they're really bad, you could even have shorter sections of old hose filled with concrete to be deployed at the scene.

I suspect there is a lot more of that happening that the departments are able to keep out of the news..

I don't know about that. . . .Bob Landry wrote:I suspect there is a lot more of that happening that the departments are able to keep out of the news..
But I do know that this particular officer badly needs anger management counseling. I hate to think of what his home life might be like. . . .
