The other issue I see with this is that if he is truly an anti, all of your other neighbors are now going to know about your CHL status. Neighbors talk and gossip.
Re: Found out my neighbor is one of those!

Re: Found out my neighbor is one of those!
I am the only one on my street,
and we do lots of range time and few folks in our community, (coffee clutch, gossip ring, old bitties, folks minding my business, even so much as they said i was spending to much time at home???)know we do range time and own firearms, so everytime a CAT comes up missing we are the first ones accused, mind you they don't stop and ask us, just gossip and speculate, we live outside of the city limits and we have no dog catcher,
but we do have a leash law, and it includes cats and kitties,
we have caused the expiration a few non-collared strays, but so far no collared pets, that were attacking my wild rabbits and squirrels and other native critters, plus one coyote
my point in a long winded way is folks around our hood are very non firearms, but are the first to complain when they get broken into....and most will never stand up for themselves, but instead roll over.
we had a string last summer of break ins and home invasions, and not one of these folks took the fight to the bad guys,
if i wasn't such a good person, i could start demanding protection money from my fellow community dwellers
i open carry in my yard and it has all but stopped unwanted traffic down my street. i pray no one ever tries to break in or do me harm, I value life, but as JW said, i will not have a hand placed on me.

When you say your neighbor is "one of those"...
You mean liberal?
Never met one who had common sense.

Premier Obama has requested that all his subjects say "L-Word". In keeping with the new rules of words no longer considered appropriate in our new society of complete tolerance for anything and everything we find deplorable.TruckingDeals wrote:When you say your neighbor is "one of those"...

Re: Found out my neighbor is one of those!
Well now, had a lot of fun bashing liberals did we?
When are you going to come up with a solution for the problem instead of standing in the way? If we have x...., how do we prevent the bad guys from having x.... Or are you stupid enough to believe that only corrective controls work.
We have a messed up system. I don't trust you, cause you aren't willing to deal with the problem. You don't trust me cause you think I want to take away your rights. Well, I got news for you. Your supposed rights only exist as long as society says they exist. Amendments can and have been overturned. I personally agree with a lot of your arguements but I have not seen a solution proposed. Until you start helping, I have every right to thing you are a bunch of "know nothings" ( and yes, I know the historical allusion, I am of Germanic descent) I personally don't want to see "gun control" in the sense of depriving responsible citizens of the ability to own, and use firearms ( please note that thiis is not the same thing as keep and bear) But I do think that something has to be done. I have proposed solutions, now you give me one without it being testosterone laden drivel.
Whether you like it or not, we now live in an urban society. I am not willing to give up my guns but I do recognize that society has a right to be concerned. I want my grandchildren to grow up knowing how and when to use handguns for protection, knowing how to hunt, and knowing the fun of IDPA etc. But i don'twant a society where every untrained malicious yahoo can own the latest means of destruction.

Your post just drips with elitism. I suppose you will decide who is appropriately trained to exercise their 2nd amendment rights? Interesting. You say you believe in a free country, but only for specific people. I assume you fancy yourself in that special group deserving of the right to protect themselves? Funny....I don't remember reading the part in the second amendment that told of the specially trained exception.B3XD wrote:Well now, had a lot of fun bashing liberals did we?

Liberals have exactly 3 years nine months left. I am already hearing people who voted for Obama beginning to second guess their choice. Granted...mostly the intelligent ones. But the rest will come around before long. It is becoming apparent that the dear leader is smoke and mirrors.

I think it is darned generous of you to call an hour of socialist propaganda a press conference...LOL. By the time the dear leader finishes talking, the reporter who ask the question can't even remember what the original question was.boomerang wrote:I prefer to watch "the L word" instead of Obama press conferences.03Lightningrocks wrote:Premier Obama has requested that all his subjects say "L-Word". I didn't for vote for Obama and I hope that he gets replaced next election. But I certainly don't see anyone on the right qualified for the job especially with the drivel that the RNC is currently putting out.03Lightningrocks wrote:Your post just drips with elitism. Well, I'm going to stick my neck out here....I voted for Obama and I have no regrets.03Lightningrocks wrote:Liberals have exactly 3 years nine months left. It's actually a bit disheartening seeing all these lines being drawn in the sand between liberals and conservatives. I don't fall solidly into one camp or the other. I suspect most people have views that are little from each side.
For example, I'm pro-gun, BUT, I'm also pro-choice. These are probably the two most polarizing issues. When I vote, I have to decide which one I believe in most and I decided to come down on the pro-choice side.
Now, if Obama were to select a Supreme Court justice that was pro-life, then I would regret how I voted!

Re: Found out my neighbor is one of those!
Some of you folk seem to think the issue is all bout Abortion and gun control. Guess again!!! Obama could be the most pro-gun politician on the planet and he would still be a socialist. No ifs and or buts about it...Obama believes in GubbaMint controlling everything. He believes the haves should give to the have nots. If all that is not enough....he has no clue on how to Govern!!!! He is simply the face the democrats thought would get elected. he is being used by the dems to advance their socialist agenda. Pure and simple.
All the free cheese liberals want???? The cost for that is freedom. They get you on the gubbamint teet and then they have you in their control. A good analogy is what happens when you live under your parents roof. they are providing for you so they control you. Yeah, you may think your different and can do as you please, but buck them a few times on "their" rules and see what happens. Same thing with gubbamint handouts.
Please try to realize, it is far more than one or two issues. premier Obama is in the process of taking over car manufacturers and Banks. What's next folks??? Oh yeah...the joke known as nationalized medicine. If anyone believes nationalized medicine is going to be good, they just simply have no clue. What nationalized health care basicly means is that those of us who presently struggle to pay for our own health care will be paying even more so that folks who don't work hard and EARN a living can have it free.
I could go on and on but I realize some in the "hip hop" mind set think the O is somehow a cool hip rapper kinda cat. Once you start actually earning a living you will realize why this is not a good reason to vote for a president.
The question you should ask yourself is, "Would I vote for Nancy Pelousy or Harry Reid for President?" . They are who is running the country....Obama is just a pretty face to deliver the message.
