I own one of these as a Anti Carjack device. It stays in my car and it's very easy to get to. Faster than my Glock on my hip. Don't need to undo my seatbelt or pull up the shirt, it lives in the center console.

I'm eventually going to build a custom center console
that has a safe box (with combo lock) to keep a pistol in

Obviously, I'll leave the box unlocked so all I have to do is
flip it open to access the piece in an emergency

The lock is for when I leave my truck locked up out in a
parking lot somewhere. If somebody broke in my truck,
stole the gun, and committed a crime with it...

I would be able to prove that I went out of my way to
keep the gun secured which should keep me from being
charged with anything by LOEs, and hopefully be able
to keep any victims from suing me

If everything in Texas is supposed to be bigger, how come we only make little guns here? Where are the cannon factories in TX?

Well, there's also Sisk Rifles.



And truth is, the BATFE says there are almost 2,000 firearms manufacturers in the U.S., and sometimes what we recognize as a gun manufacturer and what is classified as one may be different. In addition to folks like STI and High Standard that make complete guns, there are a whole bunch of Texas companies that are "firearm manufacturers," companies like Briley Manufacturing, Shilen Rifles, Bae Systems (Kleen-Bore), Miniature Machine Corp., Armnionics Industries, Accu-Tek, Talon Arms, and others.

But I wholly agree: we need more big, recognizable names in Texas!

Sadly, under under current SCOTUS interpretation, these will still be under Congressional jurisidiction. Congress' ability to regulate interstate commerce has been interpreted...broadly. I'd proffer the 10th has been effectively dead since the Civil War.

The legitimate US government obeys the constitution. If some group is an enemy of the constitution the solution is the same if they're foreign or domestic.

The obvious reason is so that the ones being shot at might not recognize that they are being shot at or from where.
