Hey everyone, I'm a noob from Dallas...or more accurately, Carrollton. I used Addison in my profile because I am actually closer there.
Anyway, I found this board while searching for answers about my PIN # and online status, but was pleasantly surprised at the wealth of information here.

What's wrong with the Dairy Queen?? I have eaten there many times and always had pleasant service and great food!

I JUST moved from that area. I lived in some apts at the corner of Kelly and Frankford and I drove down Rosemead right in front of the DQ on my way to work every day.Class: 2-28-09

Wow! Thanks for the welcomes! I have a friend that lives in the neighborhood just beyond the DQ (NOT the apartments), and I've hit that drive through often!
I also have a friend who is a Dallas plain-clothes cop that gave me a few details about the shooting there...really a big mess, PO'd dad, angry boyfriend, and someone that brought a machete to a gunfight. Sickening, really, but more of a domestic thing that it looked...and less random than the Gas Pipe shooting just a block south on Marsh. All this makes me want to go back to "The Waiting Room" and stare at it really hard until I get my plastic in the mail! Until then I have to carry my cop friend around with me.
...or at least relish in my occasional "WE GOT EM" text messages from the cop.
