Where do you find the best internet deals? (any deals)

Post by TexasComputerDude »

hey yall,

I didn't want to hijack another thread so I thought I'd just create a new off topic post. I was wondering what yall think are the best websites to find good interesting gadgets. Such as cell jammers (when these become legal, I'll be the first to have one), spy camera's, cheap chinese products, etc.

I was intrigued by a link to this website, http://www.dealextreme.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, and went looking around for more.

My favorite site to browse for gadgets was thinkgeek, but who knows what all else is out there.

:just to keep the thread from being deleted, if you see any hint of porn or bad stuff, just forget the link lol

dealextreme = übercheap chinese crap. (for both definitions of cheap)

For decent computer gear, I use newegg.com. One of the few decent, honest shops out there, treats you right.

Ammo: before the Obamaclypse, I used http://www.ammunitiontogo.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, one day shipping thru most of Texas.

I seem to end up using http://www.pricegrabber.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and http://www.monoprice.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; just for the cost basis.

On just 2 occasions, but satisfied each time, I used http://www.froogle.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

It's a shopping site that I believe is associated with google.com. Of course they
could have just ripped off the name 'cause it's close.

This is a comparison shopping site. When you've narrowed down the exact product
that you want, you can simply hit the "sort ascending by price" button and you will get
the lowest priced vendor at the top of the list.

My most recent purchase here was my Bianchi CarryLok Model 82 holster, a great OWB
model that is now my favorite rig. The cheapest vendor was ManVenture Outpost in
<Thonotosassa?>, Florida, a Tampa suburb. The shipping was super fast. Not only does
the gun fit correctly in it, but it smells great too!

For handgun browsing, I like http://www.budsgunshop.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. They have an easy to use search
function for all major handgun brands and it allows you to easily research the price of a gun
in which you are interested. Some of the guns have reviews, so you can find out more.

I primarily use this site, however the "better" deals aren't posted on the Front Page. Click on Forums > Hot Deals > Open up pages 1-8 as soon as possible. Start scanning and reading through. If you're looking for somethign specific, then a quick search on keywords. If you're just browsing for something you might buy cause of the price, then that's the best method. Some deals sell out quick and don't even get a chance to post on the Front Page.
If my posts sounds like I got a monkey on my back... it's actually a gorilla. Just don't get offended. :)

+1 on Woot.com. I check it every day.
Shipping is always $5, even if it's a big-screen TV.

There's also a woot-off in progress today. Instead of just one thing sold per day, (starting at midnight), and going until it sells out, they offer one deal until it sells out, then move on to the next one, and on and on for a day or two.

Woot!

I know. My Roomba died after two or three years of good service. I need another one.

I don't know why they don't sell firearms. They're a local (D/FW) company and have spinoff sites like shirt.woot and wine.woot. I'll email them and tell them we need gun.woot! :fire

the problem with that is they would have a hard time finding a manufacturer that would have closeouts to dump.
Just doesn't seem to happen with guns.

How about this one: http://gun-deals.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The best part of Woot is reading the product description stories.
That guy is gifted!
