Police kill woman suspected of killing ex-husband

Post by seamusTX »

Sulphur Springs (East Texas), yesterday, police officers approached a 47-year-old woman who was suspected of shooting her ex-husband. When they saw that she had a revolver in her hand, they fatally shot her.

The ex-husband is in the hospital in critical condition.

The couple divorced in 2006.

No information has been published that would indicate the woman's motive.

This string of mature women shooting their husbands or ex-husbands is starting to shake my worldview. Probably some of the men asked for it or "needed shooting," but it used to be rare for women to go to this length.

Years ago my ex-BIL's Mom shot and killed her husband (his step-dad) while he was sleeping. Apparently he came home after a night of drinking and proceeded to beat on her, then went and laid down on the bed. She decided she had enough and went and grabbed the shotgun did him in. The prosecutor referred it to the Grand Jury, but do to previous calls to police and reports, her battered condition when the sheriff arrived, and his being arrested for fighting a couple of times while intoxicated, they didn't follow through with charging her.

So guys, just be careful of what you do. Wives can get revenge when you aren't looking. I am pretty sure my wife has been beating me with a baseball bat in the middle of the night since about the age of 45 'cause I hurt and ache a lot when I wake up in the morning. ;-)

Clara Harris is still in prison, but I would not have convicted her of murder. Her husband asked for it in spades.

I'm not surprised by this at all. Ever since my room mate's girlfriend ran into my room, threatened to burn everything I owned, attempted to beat me up (she's 5' 0", 100 pounds  ), yelling about how she was going to kill me, and then proceeded to call the cops and tell them how I assaulted her, nothing has surprised me. (Guys can be stupid too, not trying to offend the sane ladies here).

On a side note, I just walked to my car and left. Didn't think to call the cops because I'd been more viciously attacked by a miniature dachshund before. If only I'd known of this forum back then, came this close to losing my ability to qualify for a CHL.

And yes, she was on cocaine at the time.
