Infidel vs. FIST K3

Post by mr.72 »

Does anyone have any direct experience comparing a FIST K3 (or other ultra-thin Kydex FIST IWB) to a Comp-Tac Infidel?

Specifically what I am looking for is whether the Infidel is close to as low-profile as the FIST. I am not looking for something that is going to be noticeably thicker in my waistband than the FIST holster I already have.

Just for background, I have been carrying the FIST K3 for going-on a year now with my Kahr CW9. With an undershirt it is very comfortable but not so much without an undershirt, even after adding moleskin to the back side (it kind of pinches in some positions). Also the FIST never has fit on a belt correctly (supposedly 1.5" but no way will it fit correctly on a 1.5" belt) and it does change angles routinely. So I would like to upgrade but I don't want to do so if it requires a thicker overall profile.

While I don't have experience with a K3 I just recently purchased an Infadel, I can tell you that it fits on my belt perfectly, and does not move once I have it in place, I have the belt clip with the shirt tucker attachment and it is as stable as a rock. Best of all it is very thin.
