Just need to vent...

Post by pbwalker »

...here, because I think my wife is sick of hearing it.

It's been a rough two days...besides work being crazy (look up Rackspace in the news for the past two days), I wound up with some nasty bug that gave me the chills, aches, sore throat, and 102.6 fever...Fever finally broke but I've been running a low grade fever since. Then, to top it off, my AC went out. The unit is 3 years old!! The repair tech said the board went bad in it. It got up to 90 in the house, which is lovely with a 10 month old baby. We got her in a baby pool to keep her cool, but even that wasn't enough. She got herself a nice heat rash.

The tech was able to jump the board and give the fan a constant, so our electric bill will be through the roof, but I'll take that over 90+ degrees in the house or having to stay @ someone else's place.

Trying times I tell ya...trying times.

Ok, I'm done ranting. "rlol"

...and that's a good thing.

BTW, do you know anyone who doesn't have a job but still has a family to protect and support?

I don't...I couldn't even imagine being in such a situation or seeing someone in that situation...but sadly, it's rampant today.

If you are still running that low-grade fever than you need to visit a Doctor.

The tech was able to jump the board and give the fan a constant,
3 years old, and It's not still under warranty?

I just bought a brand new AC system for this summer. It came with a 10 year warranty, Originally just parts, But I paid the $200 extra to include labor as well.

I would think that a 3 year old system should still be under warranty for parts...
