Elm Fork Course Number Help.

Post by Teapot_XD »

Hi everyone! I found this site while researching a problem. I took my CHL class back in April at Elm Fork. Besides my fingerprints getting kicked back, I got another letter saying I forgot to put the course number for Elm Fork. Does anyone know it and are willing to help? I've already tried emailing both the instructor and Elm Fork but so far nothing. I'll be calling sometime next week when I'll be awake during normal business hours.

An Instructors course number is normally tied to the date of the course.

For example this could be a course number for today: 6551-071009-1
This is ONLY AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT IT COULD BE........
IT IS NOT THE COURSE NUMBER FOR ELM FORK THAT YOU NEED

The actual meaning of the numbers and the format is up the individual instructor as far as I know.

Your Course number should be on the TR-100 that he gave you. You should have a copy (you sent one to DPS and the other copy was your's) can't remember which copy was your's (white or yellow).

I believe what you need is the DPS Range number for Elm Fork. If DPS is asking for it, then it is missing from your TR-100.

Call Elm Fork. Tell then you took your CHL class there and did not get the range number on the TR-100 form. They should know their own range number.

Crossfire is right; no one but your instructor or the range can give you the range number. Most ranges won't do it over the phone unless they can confirm the class you were in. A few years ago, DPS had a problem with some instructors not doing the range portion of the class and giving out a range number to put on the form. So many ranges have gotten very twitchy about giving out their numbers. I'd really keep after your instructor.
