Eighth person arrested in Florida couple's shooting deaths

Have not seen this discussed yet. There are many troubling facts coming to light in this incident. This group of apparently unrelated individuals trained for a month to rob this family. They executed a near perfect assault on the home but for some reason did not anticipate video surveillance. Among the participants was an Air Force Staff Sergeant assigned to a Special Operations unit who had multiple tours in Iraq. This article does not give all of that information, but it has appeared in various articles on CNN throughout the last few days.

From what I have seen so far, this was the worse possible home invasion scenario imaginable.

There is speculation that someone was supposed to disable the surveillance
system during the caper, but that person did not do so.

The bad guys were only in the house for 4 minutes, during which time they
killed both of the parents with firearms and stole a safe, contents undisclosed.

This is such a shame. The couple owned multiple businesses, were well-to-do and
chose to do the Christian thing by taking in children with severe health issues.

Unfortunately they had been profiled in the news media and it was apparent that they
had money.

Now usually it seems bad guys are under the impression that anybody with money simply
has the cash laying around the house like Scrooge McDuck. Usualy people with money use
debit cards, etc. But in this particular case, the safe in the home may have actually had a
stash of cash in it.

This family's house had an elaborate surveillance system but at least one of the outer doors to
the house was unlocked. It would seem if the homeowners were concerned enough about their
safety they might have had some guns on them.

The 8th person arrested was a female who rented real estate to one or more of the BG's.
She was arrested across the state line in Orange Beach, AL.

That's the same town where the woman from Tenn who killed her preacher husband was arrested.

I seriously doubt anyone caring for a large number of disabled kids is going to have firearms handy. I could be wrong, but I consider it unlikely.
