Those in or near the Permian Basin need to be carefull, severe winds hit us in the northern PB. My project car was unscathed although a ton of debris dropped on it before the carport went away.

How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?

The project car can't clearly be seen.
Is that a Mustang II, circa 1976? Maybe with a 302 V8?
Inquiring minds want to know more about your project car.

Re: Where oh where did my carport go...
correct, Its a '76 Cobra II more specifically. I just barely set the new engine into it for a test fit. Now I need to locate a throttle cable bracket and cable from a 94 or 95 GT Mustang. This particular 302 will be somewhat castrated from its previous life as I am hoping to have it cut back to a more mild 300 or so ponies apposed to the 488 it produced when I had it in its last car.

I'm sure 300 HP in that little Mustang II body will be fine.
By the way, for you or anyone who ever needs an original owner's
manual, go to http://www.helminc.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (or close to that).
Helm is the original producer of owner's manuals for cars and they have
a huge stockpile of NOS (new old stock). Reasonably priced too.
By the way, if you have an interest:
Texas law allows "year of manufacture" license plates for older cars.
If Texas still had "1976" printed on the license plates, you could find a
set of 1976 Texas license plates on Ebay, etc. and make them your
legal license plates. Anyone in the know could then know right away
that your car is a 1976.
Texas stopped putting the year of issue on license plates some time ago. FYI.

Re: Where oh where did my carport go...
This particular car is not so much a restoration project as it is a resto-mod. I am, or was, currently working on a Fuel Injection conversion, and I am working on laying out a new dash panel with a custom guage layout. I am also looking for a compatible Granada tilt steering column (Must have intermittent wipers) as it will look factory also. Once I have the electrical and mechanical needs out of the way I am going to have new ends put on the rear end housing (The mustang II uses "special" housing ends) and then bolt on some rear disc brakes along with upgrading the front discs (At least that is easy to do with aftermarket parts on a Mustang II). I want to do all this and more while retaining a "factory like" look and feel. In other words I want to use parts that either came from Ford, or Look like ford parts.
My Final goal is to have a car that the uneducated will look at and think "Thats a nice restoration", while people who know cars a little better will think "Thats a nice restoration, but something isn't right". When we get to Mustang people they will think "Nice restomod, what did he do and how?" and Mustang II people will think "I'm taking notes on this one."
At one point the wind had tree limbs, tumble weeds, and more stuff around and on the car. It took me almost 10 minutes to get that junk out of the way, and keep tossing away new junk it was blowing in, so I could get the car out of danger. Once I had that done I rolled the car out, just as I got the car where it was safe the wind took the carport and folded it back onto the house. Fortunately no one, read that as me as I was still under it, was harmed.
