CO: Fatal shooting falsely blamed on drive-by

Monday night in Pueblo, Colorado, a 13-year-old boy was shot on the street. He died on the way to the hospital.

His 14-year-old brother initially told police that the shot came from a car driving by.

Evidence contradicted that account, and police found a sawed-off shotgun in bushes nearby. They also found damage from a shotgun discharge inside the house.

Police are investigating the incident as an accident.

Hopefully the investigation will result in some thug going to prison for making a sawed-off shotgun available to kids.

Police are now looking for an adult suspect, who happens to be a felon who is also wanted for parole violation.
