Tac-15 Crossbow

Post by Lodge2004 »

OK, not something you can carry concealed, but it IS cool. At $1,299, doubt I'll be getting one anytime soon but everyone can dream.

So it's $1300 and you still have to provide your own lower receiver?

Then, because the lower receiver is a "firearm" for BATFE purposes, you now have a crossbow that is subject to firearm laws in addition to any archery laws that apply to normal crossbows in your area.

I can see all the guys who bought all those lowers in the last few months licking their chops... :thumbs2:

I also do not see where the BATFE would have any say so (not to say they would not try) in the functionality of this device when installed to a lower assembly of an AR...

It is not discharging, only releasing kinetic energy, like a slingshot...

I do, of course, see a nefarious potential in the use of this device, but the cost of the system seems to me to not be condusive to your normal thug on the street...

I would buy plenty of bolts, and spare parts for the stuff you know will wear out...Any compound bow hunter will attest to that...
