As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

Irving Town Hall Meeting- TONIGHT 8/19

Post by chamberc »

I know a lot of other fellow Dallas Pistol Club members may want to attend, as this is fairly close to the club. Just a reminder though, if you go inside, you can't carry.

Irving Town Hall Meeting
Wednesday, August 19, 2009
5:00pm – 8:30pm

Ranchview High School
8401 Valley Ranch Pkwy
Irving, Texas 75063

Note MoveOn is targeting and Sessions has moved the start time to 5 PM to hopefully minimize their disruptive tactics.

Have fun...Stay cool...Obviously you will not be able to carry in that venue...Just make sure you lock it up inside your vehicle...There have been plenty of discussions on how you should do that around here...

Be advised though...The MoveOn folks are not going to be swayed by a change in the time it starts...Most of those folks are unemployed, and are bussed into events like this...

Let us know how it goes...Good luck...

Let's keep the momentum going! Please sign up for this gathering right away!

Message from your host, Jacqueline B.: Pete Sessions will be in Irving for a Town Hall meeting. We will meet outside for a rally and we'll try to get there early to beat the crowds. We WAY outnumbered the opposition on Monday at 6:30 AM, let's see if we can do it again on a Wednesday night. If you are Congressman Sessions' constituent, please call 972.392.0505 to RSVP to get inside. Otherwise, we will be outside to show the strong support of Sessions' constituents for real health care reform, including a public option.

Aren't they only off limits if they post 30.06?

Inside schools are off-limits to CHL, no 30.06 has to be posted.

After I removed my foot from my mouth I saw the OP and it was at a High School. Pretty smart, if they were familiar with Texas law and held it there to avoid what has been happening across the country with firearms.

Easy to do, my foot stays in mouth at least 50% of the time according to my wife.

Nothing kept people from carrying outside the school, it's just in the building. Sessions moved the event here because of the large crowd. Sessions has his issues, but he's definitely not voting for this health care fiasco.
