$39.99 Gun safe at HarborFreight

Post by propellerhead »

The mailer I got shows the item below for $39.99. I bought this one the last time it was on sale. The website still shows the regular price of $52 so I'm not sure what's going on. Maybe it just hasn't been updated. It's worth a phone call if you're in the market for a safe.

I have one like that. Behind the logo is a key lock incase you forget the combo or the batteries go down. I keep the key in the long gun safe. Pretty good safe for the price. I think I got mine at Academy.

I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

Harbor Freight operates their catalog/internet sales separately from their stores. The prices are often different.

Plus, you can get multiple prices on the same thing from their web site, depending on which discount code is attached to their item number.

The one I posted has four holes on the back side to fix it to a wall. It doesn't have holes on the bottom but there are four rubber feet that are riveted on. I suppose you could drill out the rivets.

Is either one fire resistant? I don't see it in the description.
