Today on Uncommon Knowledge, Rep. Thaddeus McCotter, the fourth-ranked Republican in the House, on what Republicans must not compromise away:
“Our liberty is from God, not the government. Our sovereignty is in our souls, not the soil. Our security is from strength, not surrender. Our prosperity is from the private sector, not the public sector. And our truths are self evident, not relative.”
I will say this again...On November 3rd, 2009 we get to send a little preliminary message to those who are pulling the strings these days...
We had better hope that this resolve does not waiver for one second till after November 2010, where we had better complete the task at hand...

That's well put. I may have to quote that, once or twice.
FWIW, IIRC, AFAIK, FTMP, IANAL. YMMV.

I agree stevie_d, NOW is the time to start preparing your list. Even though the Secretary of State will not release the list of candidates on the ballot until Sept. 18, NOW is the time to start researching for yourself who will be on the ballot and what their track record is.

Here's the interview with Thaddeus McCotter. He's one sharp mind.stevie_d_64 wrote:Today on Uncommon Knowledge, Rep. Thaddeus McCotter, the fourth-ranked Republican in the House, on what Republicans must not compromise away:

Rep. McCotter is a guest on Fox News' Red Eye on a fairly regular basis. He has a quick wit and is funny, with a very dry sense of humor.
Plus, he seems to be shaping up as a conservative bulwark in the House.
I do have to question his judgment in one area, though. On Red Eye a few weeks ago, he mentioned the Detroit Lions going to the Super Bowl this season....

There will likely be a few Detroit Lions at the big game...dispersed amongst the crowd.Kythas wrote:Rep. McCotter is a guest on Fox News' Red Eye on a fairly regular basis. He has a quick wit and is funny, with a very dry sense of humor.
