NYC Terrorist Weapon Raids

Early reports indicate no weapons and no suspects arrested, though one individual was apparently detained for a period of time.

Early conjecture (by me, of course) is that some Terrorist Network wanted to see if they had an informant and fed that someone false information.

All the reports I saw stated this was driven from 'chatter' and recent travels of the individuals. It also played in close timing with the newly released tapes from Osama, so would bet their confidence level was fairly high. Waiting on these types of leads until they have the means in place to stage an attack is not possible and puts you way behind the curve. You have to break up networks before they become entrenched and operational or we lose.

Agreed. But so far no tangible results? If LE bothers to conduct raids, you would expect to see weapons and or suspects being taken. Reports so far show none. This really makes me wonder what really is going on.
