Well, for the past year, both of you that know me, know that I've been looking to move up to the Great State of Washington (not DC).
the fam live there, and who doesn't like Startbucks??? (that was a joke).

anyway, I recently got a job, and now I can commence the packing and all that jazz that accompanies a multi-state trek north/west.

don't worry, I still come visit :cryin

Best of luck to you and yours DoubleJ. Washington is a beautiful state. I spent a month in Bellvue a long time ago, and was really taken with its people, beauty, atmosphere and everything.

I do recall that, sir. Actually, the two is a bit of a joke, as I know several folk here "off line."

AEA: fat chance! I'm having it custom retrofitted with Rain Resistant coatings and what-not!

guess I'll have to look into buying a "flannel" again

Yikes, good luck DoubleJ!

Are you heading towards the Seattle area? I would agree with Joe817, the Pacific Northwest is a great part of the country, especially in the fall. You're in for quite a treat with the scenery and climate in the next month or two. I can't say anything about the winters, but I'm sure the summers have to be more mild than what you're used to!

DoubleJ:

It will be nice for you to get back with family.

I assume that you will get the Washington state flavor CHL.

Can you fill us in on the Washington State LEO outlook on CHL's and
what their particular state laws allow with regard to CHL issue and carrying policies?

Happy Trails.

I will certainly try!

Here's the procedure for getting a Wa CHL (be prepared to get :mad5 )

1. Go to CourtHouse
2. Pay Fee (it's like $50, iirc)
3. Wait 2-3 weeks for BG (back ground, not bad guy) check
4. Get CHL (total time, according to Paw, one month)

srsly.

course, Thanks to the illustrious Ms CrossFire I have a CFP from Utah, so I'm good to go from Day 1. :coolgleamA:

I wish I could go with you! Seattle is a beautiful area that I have spent a good amount of time in with family over the years. One of my best friends is also stationed up on Whidbey Island for the Navy (what a tough assignment I know!) and I go visit him from time to time. It's breathtaking up there.
My posts on this website are worth every cent you paid me for them.
