Re: Trophy Deer shot, innocent bystander killed...
Either that dude was trying to shoot the rabbit, or his rifle is not sighted in properly. I can understand the first miss, but he must have seen the bullet strike in the dirt, and the range to the deer didn't change, so he had no excuse for missing the second time unless he was just foolin' around.

Blind in one eye and can't see out of the other.

My father-in-law took one of my nephews hunting a few years ago, and they were watching a squirrel raking corn out of the feeder. My nephew wanted to shoot the squirrel , so my FIL told him to wait until the squirrel jumped from the feeder to a nearby tree limb. Sure enough, the squirrel jumped to the limb and posed nicely. My nephew took aim with his 22-250 and squeezed off a round. As he squeezed, he pulled the shot. But at that exact moment, the squirrel jumped back toward the feeder. My FIL was watching through binoculars, and he said that the squirrel exploded in mid-air. Fir went flying everwhere. All that was left was the hind legs and the tail.

Seeing the rabbit flipping through the air reminded me of that story. Too funny

Nice buck, loosely sighted shots. He was shooting to high, either holding up at high distance or rifle not sighted correctly. 0-200 yrd should be grouping 1"-2"

Here are the comments from the guy that posted the video...
To make a long story short, my son dropped my rifle one week before this hunt, after making two repetitive shots with custom loads, I knew it was not me. 15 minutes later, buck came back out and I had a chance to get my other gun in the truck and harvest him, however I did not film the fatal shot, but I have pictures. Please notice innocent bystander (rabbit) on the first shot. I was shooting a 7mm Magnum.

Sounds like he needs a better scope: my old 4x Weaver has taken a fall from a moving Gator and was off less than 2" at 100yds afterward.pdubyoo wrote:Here are the comments from the guy that posted the video...

I realize that I have not been hunting in years, but are Bucks really that stupid?
