Still waiting...

I turned in all my paperwork, return receipt requested and it was accepted July 24th. I continued waiting for my PIN number and after a few email requests for my PIN, I found out there was some issue with an identity problem. They apparently had associated my payment with someone elses account. So, needless to say that it has definitely delayed things. I finally received my PIN number and the application began processing on September 23rd. I live, work, and have lived in Galveston County only for the last 10 years. I talked to them today, October 5th, and they said they are still waiting on background checks to come in. Do you think I am going to have to wait another 75 days before I hear anything on the background check? What has your experience been with the time frame in galveston County?

sorry to hear about your difficulties...hang in there though. It seems as of late things are moving much faster at dps. I'd be willing to bet you have a license by the end of the month!!!!
