That is SO true W.B.! When someone posts news related stories, I always like to read the readers comment, to get a better feel of how the locals think. And the vast majority fervently believe in the right to defend themselves.

Correct me if I am wrong (and I know you will), but I have always had the impression that their is a world of difference in general attitudes between NYC folks and NY State folks. One bunch is totally unreasonable and the other ain't.

EDIT: OMG, a generalization.
