Small bore rifle competition

Post by Papabear37 »

I'm interested in small bore silhouett shooting. Does anyone give lessons on shooting techniques, etc.?

Check http://www.steelchickens.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for lots of info on silhouette competition.

In my (limited) experience, local competitors will be more than willing to help you with techniques and whatnot. They are actively trying to recruit newbies and love to share what they know.
As far as more formal lessons, I don't know. Go to a match and shoot. (Or just watch the first time if you really don't want to shoot. But they'll try to encourage you to shoot, even if it means loaning you a rifle.) Ask the people there who might give lessons.

This is an addictive sport which I just got into earlier this year. I bought a used, but very nice, CZ 452 Varmint.
