Benelli for HD gun

Seems like the majority use the Rem 870 for HD. Anyone like the Benelli Nova? It has a nice short stroke for cycling and I like a black gun. I don't see much for accessories though.

I use a Nova for bird hunting. When it was all I had, I kept it loaded for home defense. The biggest problem was the length. The 28 inch barrel makes it a little unruly inside. It's better than nothing, but I wouldn't purchase a Nova just for home defense.

they do make short replacement barrels for the Nova. My gun shop buddy ran across a NIB 20" barrel to pass on to another of our gang that has a Nova for $75.

I've kind of had an interest in the Nova myself.

I have had a Benelli Super 90 beside my bed for 15 years. Mine shoots buckshot great.
