WA: Homeowner stops burglar

CHEHALIS, Wash. —Lewis County Sheriff Steve Mansfield days a Toledo homeowner was justified in shooting and killing a suspected burglar.

The man killed Oct. 27 was identified Thursday as 46-year-old Mark R. Michels of Toledo.

Awakened by the sound of someone breaking in, the 62-year-old resident armed himself and fired when the intruder refused two commands to "freeze."
