Finally,after 5 months!

Post by doughboy »

Mailed my appl.on Feb.15
Received confirmation and acct#around Mar.15
Tracked appl many times--always "processing"appl.
e-mailed several times to a person assigned to my acct. She always was gracious and replied to my appeals. However,it was one delay after another.("lost the appl.and had to restart the process.", "Needed more verification on some items", "a questionaire was being sent to me for more detailed info."I never received the "questionaire" and asked her if it had been mailed to me as they had stated. She couldn't locate it.She assured me she was going to track my appl and see what she could do.
I started feeling bad for bothering her so much. All of a sudden--"certificate activated" A week later the license arrived in the mail!
That was today--Aug.7th.Victory comes to he who waits!!

Welcome aboard doughboy. This is exactly the kind of problem Charles has asked to be documented for presentation to the legislature. If you have the emails, dates, documentation,... consider asking Charles how best to make it usable. A written report? Bullets?.... Especially the email confessions that they lost it or did not know where it was, or could not verify sending it. Over the yrs it has amazed me how many times the DPS has "mailed" stuff that the USPS "looses". As incompetant as the PO is they seem to loose DPS correspondence to CHL applicalnt at a rate of 25 to 1 other correspondence. (my personal estimate & not imperically verifiable  )

If I end up waiting as long as you did Bill, I'm going to become very proficient with all of my firearms and get in some good physical shape, working all that pent up frustration out of my system
