Day 61 - I called DPS, and the lady said, "We got your new photos, we're still waiting on one background check, and then it will be reviewed by a technician". I guess that means I have at least another 30 days before my status changes...
My opinion of their process is becoming "pixelated".

Mailed my application 59 days ago.
DPS received 57 days ago.
Went into processing 42 days ago.
Sometime between 8pm last night and 9am this morning "Application Complete-License issued or certificate active".
WooHoo!!!
Maybe I'll have it in time for a weekend Wally Walk. I'll have to see if I can move my La-Z-Boy out to the mailbox when I get home from work this afternoon

As of today, 11-19-09 the website says, "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active".
Very excited about this and much faster than I expected. I am totally stoked it's just waiting for it to show up in the mail, much like the anticipation of my new Netflix movie.
All I need now is my holster from Mr. Bullard and I will be set....

DAY 53......the wait continues. 
When I see folks from October commenting that their status changing to approved already it is a bit disheartening. Makes me think there is a problem with mine...hopefully there isn't and I am just being paranoid. <deep sigh> And so the wait continues.....

Woohoo, I just did my morning check and it says "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active"! That was very quick. DPS received my application on September 29th, and completed on November 20th. Well, i guess I have to be like everyone else and drag the recliner out to the mailbox for a couple days.
