Homeowner injured during break-in
A man was injured early Monday after confronting several armed suspects who had broken into his home.
The suspects took several items from the residence in the 6900 block of Maple Creek Lane as well as a Toyota Sequoia sport utility vehicle, according to Dallas police spokesman Warren Mitchell.
The homeowner's head was bandaged, and he was taken to a hospital for treatment. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. His name was not released.
The victim's wife and small child were asleep at the time of the home invasion; they were not injured.

A North Dallas family escaped serious injury early this morning when several armed robbers broke into their house.
Dallas police said the home invasion occurred around 4 a.m. on Maple Creek Lane, near Hillcrest Road and the President George Bush Turnpike.
A husband and wife and their small child were asleep in the home. The robbers took several items, including the family's Toyota Sequoia.
