It is a bar. That is a no-no, regardless of where it is located.skystud1 wrote:If there is no 30.06 in hotel?

Not necessarily. You would have to see if the license is set as 51%. If the bar is owned by another company other than the hotel, then it may be, but if the hotel as a whole has it, then it may not be listed as 51%. You would need to check their license to see if it says 'Sign = blue' (OK to carry) or 'Sign = red' (51% and not OK.) Also, they should be posting a 51% sign if they are truly 51%. Many hotel bars are connected with their restaurant, so they may not make 51% of their profit from alcohol.skystud1 wrote:Thats what I thought.. bull I say. Safe bet is to not carry in there until you can look at their license.

What about the recent change about proper notification?

That is only a defense to prosecution. You can still be arrested for carrying in a 51% establishment, but if they didn't have a 51% sign, then you can use it in your defense.rm9792 wrote:What about the recent change about proper notification?

And i will guarantee you that any hotel will never get 51% profit from sale of alcohol.Keith B wrote:Not necessarily. You would have to see if the license is set as 51%. That's one line of defense but the primary defense is concealed = concealed.rm9792 wrote:What about the recent change about proper notification?
If you can read this, thank a teacher. If it's on the internet, thank a geek.

Some hotels contain bars that are separate businesses. Those businesses MAY be 51%ers.dihappy wrote:

Yeah, they make most of their money off selling peanuts from the mini-bar.dihappy wrote:Yessir, thats why i said the "hotel" will never make 51% profit from the sale of alcohol.
