WOW ! , I was hittin the deck just watching that .
She was obviously more concerned with the camera than where the gun was pointing.
I'll bet the cameraman was like

Yeah, I thought he was AWFULLY nice about it. I get this funny feeling in my stomach when a barrel swings my way... and I got it watching that video! Hats off to the officer.

I thought he was pretty darned nice about it too. I've seen stuff like this start to happen on a range before. I happen to think that firearms instructors are some brave individuals
and I appreciate them risking their lives to teach newbies!

The solution to her natural instinct to turn toward the camera would be to film from the other side. Since she's right handed, she could face the camera while keeping the gun at port arms, pointed downrange.
Of course, the lighting would change, might not work for the videographer.
