WOW ! , I was hittin the deck just watching that . :shock:
She was obviously more concerned with the camera than where the gun was pointing. :nono:

I'll bet the cameraman was like :eek6

With the way she was waving that gun around , he had every responsibility and duty to step in and correct her.

I don't think he did it in a mean or condescending way.

What video were you watching?

Did you have the volume turned up? He wasnt anything but nice and humorous about it.

Yeah, I thought he was AWFULLY nice about it. I get this funny feeling in my stomach when a barrel swings my way... and I got it watching that video! Hats off to the officer. :tiphat:

:iagree: Think about the others whom you know who talk with their hands. The next time that you see these "hand talkers" waving their hands around while talking, imagine a loaded gun in their hands. That's what we saw in the video.

I thought he was pretty darned nice about it too. I've seen stuff like this start to happen on a range before. I happen to think that firearms instructors are some brave individuals :tiphat: and I appreciate them risking their lives to teach newbies!

The solution to her natural instinct to turn toward the camera would be to film from the other side. Since she's right handed, she could face the camera while keeping the gun at port arms, pointed downrange.

Of course, the lighting would change, might not work for the videographer.
