Post your Christmas guns here
Thought I'd start a thread for everyone to post the guns and gun-related accesssories you either gave or received for Christmas this year. Sort of like when you would run outside Christmas morning to compare what you got from Santa with all your buddies in the neighborhood.
Don't have photo yet, but I'll start with the rifle my father helped me purchase as a Christmas gift this year:
Savage 11FHNS bolt-action in .308 with AccuTrigger and AccuStock. Already mounted my too big Millett TRS-1 scope on it and sighted it (picked up earlier this week). Photos to come later. Here's the Cabelas link for now ... http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templ ... hasJS=true" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Merry Christmas y'all ...

Great Idea !
Although its not a gun , I did receive a Pistol Safe. It holds about 4 pistols and can be bolted down.
Its something I've been wanting/needing for a while.

Some fool bought my son a Springfield M1A Loaded with a stainless barrel for Christmas.
Same said fool can't pry son's fingers off the rifle long enough to get a picture of it, but it looks exactly like said fool's own M1A except for the stainless barrel.

SWMBO got a Chiappa Double Eagle Derringer.

I got a Ruger LCP
and an Official Red Ryder Lever Action Carbine BB Gun.
But I've yet to shoot my eye out.

Maybe Santa could come pry out the trigger group to swap for a broken one...The Annoyed Man wrote:Some fool bought my son a Springfield M1A Loaded with a stainless barrel for Christmas.

I ended up with a High Noon holster for my J frame, big dot sights for my Glock 30, some gun rags, and a few mags for my glocks!

I loaded about 1100 rds of .40S&W yesterday evening & today. Still have about 300 more to go.
This yr all guns "around" the tree are already verified & certified reliable for carry.

Carry 24-7 or guess right.

Re: Post your Christmas guns here
Our only gun gift this year was a home defense shotgun we gave to my oldest son and his wife. They're newlyweds, both soldiers, stationed at Fort Hood.
I looked at several shotguns, and I sure wanted to over-spend, but in the end we went with a budget model, a Mossberg Maverick 88 5+1 18.5" cylinder bore. It takes all Mossberg 500 parts except the trigger group. We'll probably hook up a red dot on a saddle mount before they go back home.
I'm a little anxious to see how my 115 pound daughter-in-law handles a shotgun. She's game for anything, and I think I can prepare her so that she won't quit after the first shot. She's the main reason I wanted them to have a house gun. I sure don't want her to be scared of it.

Those make great home defense guns. You get a lot of bang for your buck .chabouk wrote: we went with a budget model, a Mossberg Maverick 88 5+1 18.5" cylinder bore.
The only modification I did to mine was to swap the stock for a pistol grip to make it more maneuverable for indoor use.

They are. We bought them as plinking guns...shooting 9mm and .38 can get a bit expensive. Only cost us $20 in ammo for two hours of shooting. Much better. :)chartreuse wrote:I have a U22 Neos - they're lovely little things.
We found out I'm more accurate when shooting long distances but hubby is more accurate shooting short distances. Relatively speaking, of course. Comparing our own short vs long range, short always won. ;)
