I agree...and was in a similar situation as you. I have lived in the same county for 26 years, worked at the same place for 10, have nothing in my background, the FBI/DHS turns me inside out and upside down due to my job, etc. I received three really interesting letters from the DPS with the last one being the "best".
Have you contacted your state rep's office? If not, call the DPS and see what the hold up is. From there, call your state rep.
Personally, I think there is someone at the DPS processing office who is either spending more time updating their Facebook page than processing apps or they are anti-gunners who see it as their personal duty ensuring as few Texans get their CHL possible
Were they the electronic fingerprints or the old ink style? About the only thing I can suggest is to resubmit using someplace like FAST (http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/administra ... rvices.htm) that does them electronically, supposedly much lower rejection rate. Good luck and hang in there.
