On another sad note about the UK, I received the following email from Graham,
near Birmingham, England. He runs the website http://www.britainnedsguns.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
He is looking at jail time for pepper spray!! I think the UK is very far away from
ever restoring 2A style rights. SIA.

Hi All,

I really need some advice as I am in pretty deep trouble.
This morning I appeared in criminal court, where I was convicted of possessing what was described as a "Section 5 firearm".
It's basically a small can of pepper spray which I carried illegally for personal protection after being a victim of a serious violent assault.

I have been released on bail until 15th January, and I have been told that I face up to 3 months in prison, depending on the reports from the probation service. I admit that this is the second time that I have been convicted of this offence, the first time being 3 and a half years ago.
The thought of going to prison scares me a little, but my lawyer told me that I have 2 choices -

1. I apologise for protecting myself, tell them what they want to hear and basically kiss the judges butt, this MIGHT keep me out of jail.
2. I stand my ground and say how I feel, namely that I believe that I have a god given right to self-defence. In this case I will definitely be jailed.

Personally, I'm so angry about being prosecuted for this, that I am considering going to prison simply as a way of protesting against out grossly unfair laws. The police and government can't protect me, so what right do they have to say that I can't protect myself ?

I have until Monday the 4th, as that's when I go and see the probation service, and I could really do with some urgent advice guys.

Please get back to me as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance

Graham

My word. Are the politicians in U.K. all criminals? They lock up the good guys and protect the bad guys?

I don't understand. I simply don't understand. :mad5
