Online App
Well its time. I am taking my class on February 6th and have a couple of questions. I spoke with my instructor and he stated that I should fill the online app out before coming to the class. I have not finished the app as I had some questions. I have lived at my current residence for almost 4 years. The app states to list your past addresses for 5 years. I am know I lived at 2 other addresses, but not sure of the exact date. I know I can get relatively close though. Will this matter about the little inconsistency of the date? Also, I am currently on default with a student loan from salie mae.(grants that turned into loans cause I didn't finish school) I am have made arrangements with the company and am currently paying on this. After 9 months of payment I will not be in default and I can renegotiate my loan with salie mae. Well I am aware as of sept 1, 2009 that defaulted student loans are not a bounds for denial. The question I have is on the app it asks are you default on any student loans under the Texas education act. I thought that as of sept 1 it does not matter. Why are they asking this question?.

Re: Online App
Don't worry about getting the exact dates on your prior addresses. Just be as accurate as you can. Once you cover 5 years, you're fine.
You are correct; school loans are no longer disqualifying and the question needs to be removed. However, the on-line application won't let you leave anything blank, so answer it accurately. If the computer then tells you you are not eligible, then I would just exit the program and use one of the instructor's packets he/she will have at the class.
Please let me know if you can't finish the on-line application because of that question. I can let the appropriate people know.
Thanks,
Chas.
