I guess the wardens have to punch his deer ticket right then and there.

Then the shooter would have to get out his Craftsman tools in order to field dress his kill!

Many years ago, when I was in Vermont, they used simple non-robotic decoys. Most of the decoys were shot full of holes...

Road hunting was big sport up there. :banghead:

They are normally used out of season so there would not be a legal shot. However, if used during season, where I have seen they set most of them up, you wouldn't be able to legally shoot as you would be shooting to close to a roadway, which is against the law.

I would assume that's the wardens chance to check all their paperwork and if they're all legal they send them on their way and say good luck hunting. Just my guess though.

That warden looks awfully close to the deer that's being shot at in that pic... hopefully it's just for the camera shot.
