The plastic arrived today! Yippee! :anamatedbanana

The "stats" for Charles are listed below:

CHL Pkt. Mailed - 6/18/06 (but I didn't start officially counting until it was signed for in Austin)
Austin Rcvd. CHL Pkt. - 6/20/06
PIN Issued - 7/14/06 (day 25)
PIN Rcvd. - 7/19/06 (day 30)
Online Status "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active" - 8/18/06 (day 60)
CHL License Rcvd. - 8/23/06 (day 65)

Unfortunately for my wife, who took the class with me and was initially on the same track is going to have to wait a bit longer before hers arrives (I'm guess-timating another three weeks, but what do I know). She received the dreaded letter stating that her fingerprints didn't meet minimum standards so she had to have those redone and resubmitted. And, even though Austin can "officially" start her 60-day wait over at that point, I'm hoping that they'll be able to pick up where they left off and it will only be a bump in the road for her.

She's kind of bummed, so I'm not really out of the Waiting Room quite yet I guess, as when hers arrives I'll be posting her stats, too. Besides, I certainly don't mind opening the door for others coming in or going out! ;-)

Thanks jbirds1210!

To celebrate I holstered up and took Kathy out to eat at the Cotton Belt BBQ here in NRH (Walmart will come later ;-)) and we chowed on a slab of pork ribs. They've got some of the best Texas BBQ around, not to mention character! (Their tables are shadow-box constructed with neat old west artifacts, ammo, news clippings and photos inside them that make you want to choose a new table each visit just so you check them all out... pretty neat!)
