NH and the 10th Amendment

As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

Resist DC: NH Legislators Look to Nullify Federal Gun Laws

Didn't see this mentioned anywhere else so thought I'd post the link.

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me

I grew up in Texas, but lived in New Hampshire for 18 years. Living in the "Live Free or Die" state felt almost like home (except for the 5-6 months of snow).

Nice sentiment, but I doubt it'll hold water.

Thanks to the crazy interpretation of the interstate commerce clause, dang near anything can be claimed to be 'interstate commerce'.. growing your own vegetables in your back yard? Why, you're not buying from the local grocery store, and that affects farmers in other states..

Those must have been the years with the record low snowfalls.

I heard someone explain it like this: the weather in NH is exactly like Texas. Two months of the year you dread going outside and don't know how you're going to pay your utility bill. It's just January and February instead of July and August.

I thought you were talking about 150 years ago. Either way, the feds don't like any limits on their power.

Well it is time to tie them to a snubbin post.

For you city dwellers that is a LARGE post 6 to 7 feet tall burried deep in the ground. Usually in the corner of a pen or small corral. Several large steel "0" rings anchored from about 4ft on up. Rough stock was "snubbed" up real close so the could not move much. I have had to hobble a few but snubbed there you could do about what you needed to.

Yup, that's why I mentioned the garden example. :)

It came up recently again with the medical marijuana case (the name slips my mind.)
