A *cough* Gentleman's Club? carry allowed

Post by marksiwel »

So can you carry to a "Gentleman's" Club? My Friend asked me( We are planning a Bachelor Party) I went over the normal 51% sign stuff ect but he pointed out that some clubs take a cut of the money on stage, charge a cover, and serve/charge for food.

So anyone know if Dallas "Gentleman's Club allow Conceal Carry? They arent in the greatest parts of town after all.

Lets keep this clean btw

I'm pretty sure that most of 'em make the big bucks off their outrageously priced drinks. The girls are the draw and I think get most of the "take". They may pay a fee to the club, as most are "independent contractors" due to a quirk in the tax law. Maybe you should scout out the venue in question to see if you can see their liquor license & whether it's a sign=red or 51%

Good question! I want to know the answer to this one.
Purely for knowing what to pass on to others that may ask me of course. ;-)

I do believe there is a law forbidding full nudity and alcohol sales at the same place. Full nude strip clubs DO NOT serve any alcohol. They will however allow you to bring your own.Yes I like strip clubs,,,LOL. I can't afford them. ...but I have been spotted at them from time to time. Since they have no liquor license, I am not sure what the law is on carrying in one. Since I am not the one stripping...and I only carry concealed...I never bothered to look for a sign. If I am drinking, I would not be carrying anyway.

I better qualify this statement. I have only been into "gentlemen's Clubs" in the Dallas area.

Oh yeah...and in honor of Abe..... IANAL....

I think he was saying it depends if they're a business that has a permit or license issued under Chapter 25, 28, 32, 69, or 74, Alcoholic Beverage Code, that derives 51 percent or more of its income from the sale or service of alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption, as determined by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission under Section 104.06, Alcoholic Beverage Code.

In 1.5 hrs this one has generated a lot of interest already. I remind all that just the topic addressed in a favorable mannor is degrading to women. Women who work there are not ladies only female.

One warning, one post off topic & it will be locked.
