I don't (at the moment) have a reason to go into Jared (The Jewelry Store) but it's somewhere I'm not allowed to go with a CHL and I don't like that idea. I don't frequent Starbucks often unless my girlfriend wants a drink but I'd like the freedom to walk into their establishment armed.marksiwel wrote: I dont drink Caffeine so it doesn't effect me at all
The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it to be always kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong, but better so than not to be exercised at all. I like a little rebellion now and then. It is like a storm in the atmosphere. -Thomas Jefferson

I have been a long time fan of Starbucks and until now have consumed at least a pound of ground coffee a week and several cups purchased at my local locations. I also know from recnet research I have been involved in that Starbucks is concerned about its market share.
I am not in Wyoming but this apparent trend is disturbing. It is for that reason that I am discontinuing patronage of Starbucks in all forms and advising all that I can to do the same.
Thank you for your interest,

Now, I think I'll go buy a pound of Kenyan.

You may have wanted to SPECIFY WHICH TREND is disturbing. Corporate said there is no policy, and the local manager said otherwise. I almost thought you were saying that OC was disturbing...Dragonfighter wrote:marksiwel wrote: I dont have a laptop and I got a wife, but I guess that works tooThat's twice today; people at work are beginning to wonder what I'm reading.

FTA:
A Starbucks Representative contacted me and said "there has not been any policy change and Starbucks follows the laws of the state and municipalities they are located in"
They also said "this has been a misunderstanding and apologies go out to any customers this may have inconvenienced".
Looks like we/me may have jumped the gun a bit on criticism, based on a store manager being uninformed. Guess I've got to send them a retraction to my retraction of my praise.

"I don't know how that would ever be useful, but I want two!"

I recently wrote a note announcing my displeasure with Starbucks' bias against the legal carry of firearms in their locations and my discontinuance of any kind of patronage. I saw this as part of the pervasive movement that would see the second amendment to the U.S. Constitution eliminated and decided as much as I liked the products I could no longer in good conscience support it.
I see now that this statement of "corporate policy" was the actions of a single store's misinformed manager. I hope you will accept my apology and know that I will continue to buy and use your fine coffees.
Thank You,
Me
