Unfortunately, like most big box sporting goods retailers their prices on guns and ammo were quite high so I came out empty-handed.

Exactly.. it's not the loaded ones you have to worry about anyways. They behave themselves. Unloaded ones kill people by accident every year! Them's the problem.grumble wrote:I think that a "No Unloaded Guns" sign is perfect in and of itself

That sign does not pertain to those with the CCL. That is for long guns.VoiceofReason wrote:Went in a Bass Pro Shop once and inside the door was a sign to leave all firearms with the attendant at the entrance or something to that effect. The “attendant” was obviously under 21.I went back out and left my gun in the car. Didn’t want the hassle.
yes - his response was supply and demand.Mastodon wrote:How nicejmra wrote: I visited a GM in AR when ammo was really hard to find. The guy behind the counter was taking boxes of ammo out of a walmart bag and marking up the price 300%.![]()
I'll steer my business elsewhere.
Did you call him out on it on the spot?
And my response to him would have been that with his prices that high there won't be any demand for his ammo.jmra wrote: yes - his response was supply and demand.
I sure didn't buy any.C-dub wrote:And my response to him would have been that with his prices that high there won't be any demand for his ammo.jmra wrote: yes - his response was supply and demand.
I shoot at Bass pro quite a bit. The first time I shot there after getting my CHL, I walked in the door with a gun on my hip and 2 in my bag. I stopped at the front check in and asked, "I have my CHL. How does this work? Do I stop here and let you check in my ammo? Do you need to lock my guns" He said, "Just tell me you're CHL and I'll tell you to have a nice day and enjoy the range." When I got back to the range, the guy behind the counter asked if he needed to unlock my guns. I said no and that's all there was to it.VoiceofReason wrote:Went in a Bass Pro Shop once and inside the door was a sign to leave all firearms with the attendant at the entrance or something to that effect.
