Re: Galveston County: HUGE MAJOR drug bust
Ecstasy is the street name for an illegal drug that basically makes people feel good, but has some nasty side effects.

Re: Galveston County: HUGE MAJOR drug dust
I drive by there all the time. It doesn't surprise me at ALL that there's a lot of dealing near that intersection. What is surprising is that it's literally across the street from quarter million dollar mini-estates on the water.seamusTX wrote:Apparently I was too cynical. Officers busted three alleged drug dealers in the 3200 block of Lobit Drive in Dickinson Saturday. A fourth suspect threatened police, who shot him as he fled. He was later taken into custody and hospitalized.

Police later found a handgun that may have been in the possession of the man who was shot.

Drug use and dealing are pretty much everywhere. The only question is how open or discreet they are.

Who do you think is buying those drugs? I know of kids with wealthy parents who think that doing coke is cool, even classy.jordanmills wrote:I drive by there all the time. Huge?! That amount is what's in the pockets of about 1/2 the students at UTseamusTX wrote:They allegedly confiscated 18 ecstasy pills from one and half an ounce of pot from the other.

I don't fear guns; I fear voters and politicians that fear guns.
Re: Galveston County: HUGE MAJOR drug dust
The man who was shot was convicted in state court of being a felon in possession of a firearm and sentenced to a minimum of 25 years in prison. The sentence was enhanced by previous felony convictions.I wrote:[December 2009] Officers busted three alleged drug dealers in the 3200 block of Lobit Drive in Dickinson Saturday. That is pretty quick for a felony conviction in a jury trial.
