Wally-Walk
I did a search but could not find the origin of this great phrase. Still a newbie, so if some one could point me to the correct thread I would be mighty appreciative. Thanks. I have figured out it is the "first walk with chl and gun" but how did this come to be?
Re: Wally-Walk
That is correct. According to CHL lore, the first time you carry concealed in public is to be at "Wally World" [WalMart]. I don't know who started it, but WalMart is a good place to be in public with many diferent people around where you can shop, eat [nachos if they have them], go to the restroom, and generally get used to carrying a handgun in public. After spending some time carrying in public, you finally get used to the fact that no one is paying attention to you and they do not notice that you have a gun. It's kind of like taking your first solo drive in traffic after you get your drivers license.s197winstang wrote:I did a search but could not find the origin of this great phrase. These are the "official" rules followed by much commentary: http://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5204" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The phrase has been around longer than this forum. Its origins are lost in the mists of history.

Fear, anger, hatred, and greed. The devil's all-you-can-eat buffet.

There's also bonus points for taking pictures of your inaugural Wally Walk and posting them here.
