What's next I'm going crazy

Post by Travis »

Alright guys I'm going crazy searching the forum looking for what happens next. I took my class last year and got all the paperwork filled out, pictures taken and fingerprints done. I paid online on 2-23 and have been waiting for a packet or pin or something to come from DPS. My question is what is coming in the mail? I emailed DPS a few days ago and to my surprise they emailed me back fast. There email said "you will recieve a packet in the mail" and I've been waiting for that to happen with no such luck. Also I left out a class C charge in my online packet and after reading the forum I see that it does matter. How should I go about telling them about that and also is there anything I can do while waiting on my packet to come in the mail like going to get the arrest record from the PD that the infraction occured?

I also wanted to thank all of yall for hanging around this forum even after yall recieved your plastic to help out guys like me with questions.

Travis,

Since you paid online, you will receive a packet, but it sounds like you may have all the paperwork that comes in the packet already. The packet contains the yellow form, fingerprint cards, etc. After you mail the packet off the DPS, they will mail you a letter with a PIN so that you can check your status online.

As far as your Class C, you will need to get CERTIFIED copies of the court's disposition regarding your case. You will need to call the county clerk's office and they should steer you in the right direction to get the CERTIFIED copies. (Caps because the copies must be certified per DPS).

Since you did not include the info about your arrest, I suggest calling DPS and talking to one of the licensing techs and see what they tell you and how to go about fixing it.

Hope this helps.
