Plastic in Hand.

Although the status changed to Application Completed on Aug 28th, DPS didn't mail it out until the 6th of Aug. I finally have my coveted plastic.
Life is good The Wally walk will be wonderful.

About 60 days from mail out to receiving.

I just checked the status of my application for renewal and it is changed to 'Application approved', 'Certificate active', or something like that. My Texas permit expired on the sixth but I have two more non-resident permits that made me good to go so I never missed a beat! Had I not had the non resident permits I would have been out on the road and unable to carry my weapon on my person. Next time I'll start the renewal process sooner.

Sometimes I remember the weeks of waiting for the plastic full of excitement but I have really appreciated the feeling of confidence and responsibility that comes with daily carrying. Carry safe, hope you never have to use it.
