I agree. We need to tread VERY carefully in this scenario.....very. puma guy, made a statement that spoke volumes. Acting on gut instinct, thank God, he very possibly prevented something that could have gone very, very bad. :tiphat:

IMO, the police were acting on that same 'gut instinct', when they did what they did. Can you blame them? I can't.

Had there been NO police action, and IF he had gone off the deep end, as all indications pointed, THEN it could have been a very, very different story.

Look at it this way.....the police took a premeditated strike against someone they had reason to believe that person might do harm to another, given the recent turn of events in that person's life AND his statements......

That is not TO dissimilar to what our ex-President George W. Bush did to Saddam Hussein, is it?....a premeditated strike to stop a potential threat........that never materialized.

He got his guns back. Was a wrong done? Yes, of course. But in today's society, do we have any choice but to try to second guess what appears on the surface as a potential 'Columbine' or some other tragedy?

In my humble opinion, it would have been a mistake for the police to have looked the other way..........given today's society. :cryin
