Who has the authority to declare you a trespasser?

I don't know about your company, but my employee handbook states that security is EVERY employee's responsibility. Maybe that's because I'm in aviation, but I can't imagine an employer who wouldn't want their employee's to be concerned with security, and empower them with the authority to declare someone a trespasser. Naturally, however, if you intend to use that authority a supervisor/management and/or security should be involved.

Dragging a manager to a remote site at 3AM because somebody's hanging out in the parking lot isn't the best way to get a good review. Hence the usefulness of written authorization to act on the company's behalf so the responding LE don't have to spend half an hour making phone calls to be sure you're really authorized to make a criminal trespass complaint on the company's behalf.
