Yep I am hooked. Justified is my kind of show. Almost as good as "The Shield".

Yes I did notice that. Kinda bugs me. Bad editing/prop work. Or bad writing/story if that really was "supposed" to happen. Hard for me to believe some crack shot Federal agent changes sidearms that frequently.

I've been watching it, and I'm gonna give it a few more episodes - maybe even til end of first season. But so far I'm not as impressed as the rest of you seem to be. Don't get me wrong, it's an entertaining 40-something minutes of mindless TV. But it's certainly not "The Shield". Not even close.

Actually the only reason I tuned in for pilot episode was to see Walton Goggins again. For anyone who hasn't seen "The Shield", Walton Goggins is a better, more emotional, more compelling, and more "unsettling" actor than a young Jack Nicholson. From the last few episodes of the 5th Season of The Shield (which ended in a "NO THEY DID NOT JUST DO THAT!!!" moment rivaled on TV only by the stunning ending of the show's own pilot episode) until the mind-blowing ending of the last episode, Goggins was easily the best actor on TV. Period.

But I digress .. I liked Goggins little role so far in Justified. Oliphant is OK too. But the plot/storylines seem weak and pointless, crime-of-the-week type stuff better suited for network TV garbage (not up to level of a top-notch cable show). The writers need to get back to the Olyphant vs. Goggins storyline quickly or I'm going to completely lose interest.

Besides, I'm also now hooked on "Southland" - a very good, seemingly more realistic cop drama that airs at the same time every Tuesday. So my DVR is on overload and if Justified doesn't get better soon, I'll likely back down to just Tuesday night show.

I kinda' like watching old "Hee Haw" reruns on the RFD channel on DISH. We were a kinder and gentler nation then and the various idiots with guns...er, uh,...well,...just kept to themselves. Them wuz the good 'ol days.

Almost as good as "The Shield".
Playing next to Justified is Southland, which is sort of a continuation of The Shield without the corruption element. Better show. But due to the lack of content in each, I can flip back and forth and manage stay up with both story lines. The problem with Southland is there's no beautiful, semi illiterate Kentucky blonde raised on fried chicken beside a dirt road. You gotta wonder how that's going to work out in the long run for our hero.

Anybody know what that holster is the guy carries under his jacket?

My wife and I are watching Justified. It hasn't been too bad but it is no Shield.

SouthLAnd, unfortunately, it not really back. After NBC canned it, TNT bought the episodes that were made and will be airing those. There won't be any more new episodes which is a shame because I really liked that show.

I loved The Shield... watched em all. I'm hooked now on Justified too and Flash Forward, which has its share of gun fights.
