Another custom holster by Riverrat

Post by Charles L. Cotton »

I just received a custom holster RiverRat made for me. As with photos of his holsters on the forum, these photos don't do it justice. He is truly an artist in leather!

You know I have been seeing these great holsters take shape and I can't wait until we start on my stuff. I have been talking to Riverrat about a full matched set for belt, holster, mag pouches and cell phone set. He really does care about his work, believe me. I saw pics of the pink one Charles, that was nice. My wifes purple belt is a beauty. You are right, the photos don't do justice. He sent me photos of my wife's belt and it looked good. Got the belt and definitely the belt in person was way better.

Man, that is beautiful.

Having a nice holster like that for concealed carry is like having expensive underwear. Who's gonna know?

I guess I'm just too practical. :anamatedbanana :anamatedbanana :anamatedbanana

But it does look pretty.

Naw. We're gonna have a "BARBECUE" at PSC so he can show it off. :biggrinjester:

All kidding aside, that's a really nice looking holster.

I was thinking barbecue-rig myself. Maybe we should have a TexasCHLforum BARBECUE DAY AT PSC. We could wear our cowboy tuxes, barbecue rigs, shoot and eat . . . barbecue of course.

Charles, Put a classic nickle plated .38 Super Government model with carved Ivory grips in that holster and you are ready for any Barbeque! Very, very, nice!

Here is a photo of a custom rig RiverRat created for a very special 16 year old girl in my student ministry at First Baptist Church. Her Mom and Dad bought her a Smith & Wesson M&P JG model and I wanted her to have a unique rig to carry it. Of course, it had to be pink!

As always, the photo doesn't do it justice. The detail in the tooling is remarkable and he was able to die the roses red, the lettering golden brown, with the rest of the rig pink.
