When Timothy McVeigh was awaiting execution, he chose
some reporters to interview him. Approximately 40 hours of
interviews with Timothy McVeigh has been whittled down to
a 2 hour special.
This will air on MSNBC on April 19, 2010 at 9 PM Eastern,
8 PM Central Time. April 19, 1993 is the day that the Branch
Davidian compound in Waco burned up after a 51 day siege.
April 19, 1995 was the date that McVeigh blew up the Murrah Federal Bldg in OKC.
Before posting this, I did a web search on the MSNBC site, but didn't
find any data easily on this upcoming special.
What data I did find was from some websites that complained that
MSNBC was going to conflate McVeigh's actions with current day conservative
talk show hosts. Maybe, maybe not.
What's important is that McVeigh, in his own twisted sense of values, feels
that his actions in killing 168 people were justified. "Sure I killed 168 people,
and the government's going to kill me. I'm still ahead."
Paraprhase from McVeigh: "Women and children are not off limits for killing".
Throw stones if you will since it's MSNBC.
McVeigh should be doing most of the talking.
By the way, IIRC, when the OK state trooper patted McVeigh down, what he found
was a .45 Glock, model unknown.
While in the Army during the 1st Gulf War, McVeigh used a .50 machine gun to
kill a distant Iraqi soldier with a single shot, amazing his fellow soldiers.

This show started at 800 PM and will last until at least 900 PM, Central
Time, on MSNBC.
Today is the 15th anniversary of the OKC terrorism.
Since Tim McVeigh felt no remorse at killing 168 children, I'm
puzzled that he didn't shoot the OK state trooper who stopped him.

He wanted to be caught so that he could be infamous and have his radical ideas heard by millions on T.V. He kinda reminds me of Dale Dribble on LSD/steroids. How did a penniless loser come up with the big money to buy the materials for the big bomb? I think this conspiracy had lots more conspirators that have not been caught. However, the detectives for this case was too eager to close the case so that his supervisor and the American public will quit breathing down his neck. I found this on Wikipedia suggesting that this was a bigger conspiracy with lots more actors who were never caught.surprise_i'm_armed wrote:This show started at 800 PM and will last until at least 900 PM, Central

An Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) informant, Carolyn Howe, told reporters that shortly before the bombing she had warned her handlers that guests of Elohim City, Oklahoma were planning a major bombing attack. McVeigh was issued a speeding ticket there at the same time. Other than this speeding ticket, there is no evidence of a connection between McVeigh and members of the Midwest Bank Robbers at Elohim City.
In February 2004, the FBI announced it would review its investigation after learning that agents in the investigation of the Midwest Bank Robbers (an alleged Aryan-oriented gang) had turned up explosive caps of the same type that were used to trigger the Oklahoma City bomb. Agents expressed surprise that bombing investigators had not been provided information from the Midwest Bank Robbers investigation. McVeigh was given a one-week delay prior to his execution while evidence relating to the Bank Robbers' gang was presented to a court.

SIA, I missed the show due to other obligations, but did you think it was unbiased, or was it the smear job you thought it could become?

TAM:
I caught the 2 show in its entirety and did not feel that it
was a smear.
They did many re-creations of events from McVeigh's life,
and they had the audio of him speaking of the events, but
strangely they had no video of him doing the interviews.
Although he ostensibly bombed the building in retaliation for
the 4/19/93 burning of the Waco Branch Davidian compound,
the FBI Psychologist pointed to other facets of his psyche.
McVeigh spoke very intelligently and clearly, but he didn't
mention too much about his anti-government views.
It seems that he was more intent on a very elaborate
"suicide by cop." He wanted to get caught for this, and I
suspect that he didn't use his .45 Glock on the trooper who
stopped him because that might prevent his eventual capture.
